Ingredients:
6 to 8 slices of ham
8 to 10 medium potatoes, pared and thinly sliced
2 onions, peeled and thinly sliced
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup grated cheese
1 10 ¾ -oz can cream of celery or mushroom soup
Paprika
1/2 t cream of tartar
1 C water
Directions:
Toss sliced potatoes in ½ teaspoon cream of tartar and 1 cup water. Drain. Put half ham, potatoes, and onions in crock-pot. Sprinkle with salt and pepper, then grated cheese. Repeat with remaining half. Spoon undiluted soup over top. Sprinkle with paprika. Cover and cook on low 8 to 10 hours. (High; 4 hours)
