Son of a Gun Stew ~ Dutch Oven

  • 1/2 lb. bacon
  • 2 lbs cubed beef (may be round, 7-bone roast blade or chuck roast)
  • 1 lb carrots
  • 2 lbs potatoes
  • 2 green peppers ( I don't use these)
  • 3/4 cup soy sauce
  • Tabasco
  • 5 medium stalks celery
  • 2 medium onions
  • 4 cups whole bottled tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup worcestershire sauce

Directions:


Fry bacon in 12" Dutch oven. Add onions and meat. Saute until brown. Add vegetables and seasonings. Cover and simmer about 1 hour or until vegetables are tender.
