- 2 cups crushed Oreos
- 1 cube melted margarine
- 1 TBSP sugar
- or you can use 2 Oreos pie crusts
Melt butter in warm Dutch oven then pour over Oreos in bowl, add sugar and mix well. then press into 9 inch glass or aluminum pie plate . Chill while making filing.
Filling:
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 1/2 package (8 oz.) cream cheese softened
- 8 oz milk chocolate chips melted
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 TBSP cocoa
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/4 cup margarine
In your dutch oven, combine chocolate chips, cocoa and margarine, melt. In a bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until fluffy; add cream cheese and beat until smooth. Blend in sour cream and vanilla and finally fold in melted chocolate and margarine. Pour into crust. Wipe our Dutch oven and arrange 3 tinfoil lumps in Dutch oven to keep pie plate off the bottom. Bake with slow coals on bottom and lid of oven for about 45 minutes. Cool completely.
Frosting:
- 2/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup margarine
- 1/4 cup light cream
- 1 1/3 cups shredded or flaked coconut
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
While pie cools, melt margarine in oven. Add coconut and brown. Remove from oven and add sugar, light cream and vanilla. Beat well, add nuts and spread over cheesecake .
