Dear Sisters,Paula Olsen has asked me to help spice up the ward recipe blog by making it a little more interactive and encouraging participation from each of you. So, here's my idea - The Food Blog Challenge.
Every other week I will select and post a category - appetizer, cookies, soup, chicken recipes, etc. That's your cue to submit your favorite recipe in that category by emailing them to river1strecipebook@gmail.com. Recipes will be posted on the site for all to see, and at the end of the week you will be asked to vote for the one you'd most like to try.
The following week, we will all become Food Bloggers. What is a Food Blogger, you ask? Well, sometime during the week we will all make the same recipe (the one we all voted on). Each of us can then post comments on the recipes, variation or substitutions we made, and photos of our finished products. It will be a fun way for us to learn some new recipes together while sharing our favorites. And in the end they will all go into the new ward cook book.
The catch is that this will only be fun if more people than just Paula and I participate. So, if this sounds like something you’d like to do, and to help us know how many people are checking out the new website, please post a quick comment if you’re interested in the joining the Relief Society Food Blog Challenge.
Sincerely,
Aimee Hardy
